Cursive Unicode text
Script letters read as handwriting only when the font draws them that way. The page converts in the browser and leaves the original text on your device.
This is a Unicode character conversion, not a font file. Apps differ in which characters they can show.
Up to 2000 characters. The conversion stays in this browser.
Styles appear here when the page script runs.
Script letters are a Unicode range
The sample below is mathematical bold script, not a calligraphy font. Some script capitals live in older Letterlike Symbols and do not match the rest of the alphabet, so a long capitalised word can look uneven.
When a script line is a good fit
A first name or a two-word bio line is the usual case. Small sizes make script harder to read than bold, and some games strip it because the code points are not the letters on a keyboard.
Examples
- Hello → 𝓗𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓸 (Mathematical bold script)
Questions
Is this the same as italic?
No. Italic mathematical letters are a different range from script. The tool lists them separately so you can compare the shapes.
Why do some capitals look like another alphabet?
Unicode did not assign a uniform script capital for every letter. The character you copy is the one that exists, and it may not resemble a Latin capital.
